Discount Guitars – Learning To Play, Is It Really That Easy

Mon · Leave a Comment

Isn’t getting a new guitar an exciting experience? I love the feeling of bringing that new axe home. The problem is that feeling usually wears off pretty quick after about a week or so and you have gotten tired of just noodling around.

I couldn’t believe that learning to play could be that hard. No matter how hard I tried I could not get my fingers to move like Jimmy Page, my guitar hero.

I bought several guitar books on how to play my favorite Led Zeppelin songs. Have you ever seen those type of books? If not then let me tell you what they consist of. They consist of either standard notation or something called tabulature (tab). Don’t get me wrong, after I spent some time learning to read tab it was much easier to read and I was able to sort of figure out some of the riffs and after considerable practice I was able to play a couple riffs and it sort of sounding like it was supposed to. But I still couldn’t play most of the song or even be able to figure how to play it. It turned out to be a big waste of time and money.

I decided I needed something else and some serious instruction so that I could finally learn how to play guitar. The program below was the 3rd one I tried and the only one that worked.

Learning To Play Guitar – Where Do I Start?

I was just where you are once. I had no clue what to do and where to look for advice. I wasted a ton of time and money, not to mention a bunch of money, trying to learn how to play guitar. I don’t think I could of been more off base with my first couple of choices for online learning methods.

I finally found a program that worked. I tried 2 different programs online that got me the same results as the books I bought. Only with these programs I was all over the place with no clear focus or direction.

I eventually found a program that workded like advertised. Good thing too because I was about to give up and put my guitar for sale on Ebay. I was completey fed up and worn out.

This program was wonderful. I saw drastic improvements in the first week. I can’t say how helpful it has been.

Discount Guitars – I Finally Figured It Out

This is by far and away the best and easiest guitar learning method I have found. Trust me when I say I have looked through almost all of them. No matter what style of music you want to learn this program will teach you the steps you need to take to learn your style of music.

I would of saved a ton of time, money and agggravation if I would of only found this program before I jumped through every hoop imagineable. If you don’t believe me then go out and try it on your own. I won’t give you that “I told you so” remark when I see you back here in 1 month.

Even if you still want to try it on your own I would strongly suggest you visit this site and get the free 5 part mini course. It will help you out a lot.

Tuning Your Discount Guitars

Tue · Leave a Comment

One of the first bits of information that you will need to do after buying your discount guitars is to tune your guitar.

To tune your guitar, you only need to have one string tuned to any note, as long as you know which one it is. This is known as the reference point. Once you have this, tuning the rest of the strings is easy. There are various ways to find the reference point. You can use any of the following methods to tune a string, or all your strings.

Piano/Keyboard: A keyboard is an excellent way to tune your guitar. (assuming that the piano is tuned) Just tune the strings by matching them with their respective keys.

Electronic Tuner: Allows you to tune the guitar string by measuring the frequency of the string. Very easy way to tune the guitar.

Pitch Pipe: A pitch pipe has 6 pipes, for each string on the guitar. Just tune the strings to match the pitch from each respective pipe.

Tuning Fork: When a tuning fork is struck, it emits an A note at a frequency of 440hz. Simply tune the 5th fret of the top string to this.

Follow these instructions for tuning your guitar, with the top string being already tuned to an E.

Step1: Place your finger on the 5th fret of the top string (aka the 6th string), and tune the 5th string until both match

Step 2: Place your finger on the 5th fret of the 5th string and tune the 4th string until both match

Step 3: Place your finger on the 5th fret of the 4th string and tune the 3rd string until both match.

Step 4: Place your finger on the 4th fret of the 3rd string and tune the 2nd string until both match.

Step 5: Place your finger on the 5th fret off the 2nd string and tune the 1st, or bottom string until both match.

Which looks like this:
E ||—————————————————0————-| 1st
B ||—————————————-0——-5—————| 2nd
G ||—————————–0——-4————————–| 3rd
D ||——————0——5————————————–| 4th
A ||——–0——5————————————————| 5th
E ||——5———————————————————-| 6th

Thats it, your guitar is now tuned. If you understand this, then you can tune your guitar with any reference point. Its best to go through this every time you pick up the guitar. You may be surprised at how quickly a guitar can go out of tune.

Now that you know how to tune your guitar, you are ready to begin learning to play songs.
